Logonomics : Results and Report

‘LOGONOMICS- Discover Your LQ’, has left us all at Team MIC, to say the least, proud and grinning from ear to ear.
It was a ‘never seen before’ like event in more ways than one.
Not only was this the first ever online competition ever to be organized in the history of Delhi University, but also the response received by it was unprecedented with entries pouring in from all over the city including DU, IITs, IP University, DCE etc.
It was heartening to see logonomics become a kind of new language amongst all the students as during the span of the whole event, in every nook and corner of the college, all one could hear was whisperings about someone’s rising popularity or someone brooding over his dipping vote share.
And all this popularity, mind you, was respect to their entries and votes garnered on facebook!

Round 1: P4L

Our round one of ‘Product for Logo’ was an innovative concept and generated the maximum buzz.
Participants had to choose one logo from the list of ten logos provided by us and give it a completely new dimension and identity. They had to do this by suggesting a new product, tagline and give a description of the product.
The sent in entries were first shortlisted and interesting ones were put online. With all entries coming up with brilliant new ideas, short listing the entries was the toughest job which the team had to face. But adding a lighter side to this tough job were entries like ‘The Second Bite’ sent by Udit Goel ,Sri Venkateshwara College and Preeti Dogra ,KMV; who craftily adopted the Apple Logo for their entry, or the product sent in by Basant Goyal and Jigeesha Nayyar ( both from SSCBS) who used the Reliance logo for a completely new product ‘Asseline’, a nourishing cream! The entries which gathered the maximum number of votes online in the form of likes would proceed for the second round.
This created such a buzz amongst all the participants that the number of votes gained by each entry was a matter of lengthy, heated discussions and garnering votes the latest task. With this round, the creative marketing (and convincing) strategies of students came to fore as everybody was on a veritable drive to earn the maximum number of votes.
Participants did not leave any opportunity to flood the facebook wall and update their status messages with the link of their product.
